TaylorMade r7 Irons review. These irons are like butter!!!

April 22nd, 2009 TaylorMade 1 Comment

The TaylorMade r7 iron series is by far my favorite iron set I have ever used. These things really feel solid and controlled when you hit the ball. It is just like butter!

Out of all my reviews that I am writing, I am paying special attention to the Taylor Made r7 series because this set is just so great. These are one of the few irons that I have used that feel as if they are just a mere extension of my body…almost like they are part of me from swing to contact.

For the best rates for these irons, I suggest you check out Amazon. That is where I found the best deal for mine.

  • Set of mens irons – use the TayorMade ICT technology (inveterted cone).
  • Special core increases hitting distance and ball speed.
  • Low center of gravity design creates higher launches and way better control.
  • Moderate offset squares club face on ball impact

The TaylorMade r7 series in engineered for a high and straight launch. This set is the idea choice for the most well-rounded players. These irons employ the Taylor Made Inverted Cone Technology. This cone acts like the sweet spot on the club and increases ball speed and produces longer drives.

My personal review: Is it worth it?

I have had these clubs for about a year now and have fallen completely in love with them(however girly that sounds). Out of all the iron sets that I have owned, some more expensive than this TaylorMade model, I still prefer my r7 set over anything else. I think they really fit well with my style of play – I am a well versed golf player with no one skill better than another.

The R7 series comes in different configurations:

Callaway X-18 Iron Set User Reviews. Is the x18 series the one to get?

I had my eye on Callaway’s x-18 irons for some time before I added them to my collection. In my opinion, the Callaway x18 series is the best value you can get in an iron set.

callaway x18 iron setThe X-series Irons by Callaway Golf have been favored by pros worldwide because of the technology behind each iron. Many of the best players in the world favor these clubs because of the performance enhancing design of each club.

Coupled with great looks and an extremely forgiving iron, these clubs are favored by many recreational players as well.

The new X-18 and x18 Pro series irons combine the same patented technologies used in prior x series Callaway Irons models. This model sports a new head shape and size, but includes all the advancements of the older models.

This model comes in 3 different versions:

Callaway X-18 Iron Set w/ uniflex steel
Callaway X-18 Irons 3-PW w/ graphite
Callaway X-18 3-PW PRO SERIES STEEL

My overall review: Are they worth the money?

Out of my literally hundred or so clubs I own, the callaway x18 with uniflex steel putting wedge is one of the few clubs that has remained in my play set over the past couple years. This club is dead on everytime (partly due to my accuracy). I like this iron so much that it has sort of developed a personality in my head. You know what I mean – that club that feels like a mere extension to your arm after using it so long.

Best place to buy it

I suggest you buy your callaway clubs from Amazon. Yes, you can probably find a used club for cheaper online somewhere, but you have no idea what you are getting. I usually buy all my sets new from amazon for this reason.

Hello All,

jamesJames Frankin here! I would like to welcome you to my golfing info blog. I am a dedicated golfer with about 16 years of experience. I started golfing junior year of high school. Even since then I have been an avid golfer and try to play atleast a couple rounds of gold twice a month.

While I am no pro, I am a pretty decent golfer if I may say so myself! One thing that I find really addictive about golfing is buying new clubs. It seems like every year i’m buying a new set of golf clubs. It’s definitely an obsession. My first set I bought for under $150 while in high school. Today, I have bought multiple golf club sets ranging between $1500-$2000.

I have a lot of knowledge when it comes to certain golf clubs so I plan to focus a lot of my writing towards golf club reviews. I will also list my most favorite sets that I have bought and how long they lasted me. I will also write some tips on how to curve your golf club obsession. If you aren’t careful, you will find yourself buying unnecessary clubs like I have.

My golfing blog will also include some killer golfing tips like how to improve your swing, tips on how to control the ball more, how to keep cool when putting, etc.

Thanks for reading, and check back frequently as I will update this blog quite often.
